Ctrl-click column head

Ctrl-click a column head to sort by that column, toggling between ascending / descending.

Shift-Ctrl-click column head

Shift-Ctrl-click a column head to sub-sort that column, toggling between ascending / descending.

Drag column head sides

Resize columns.   Reorder columns using the Layers pane.

Layers pane

Specify order, width, show/hide columns.

Click a cell

Click a cell to make it the current cell.

Arrow keys

Move the current cell in the direction of the arrow.

Page Up / Page Down

Move the current cell one window up or down.

Home

Move the current cell to the left-most column of the current record.  Scrolls the record into view.

End

Move the current cell to the right-most column of the current record.

Ctrl-Home

Move the current cell to the first record of the table in the current column.

Ctrl-End

Move the current cell to the last record of the table in the current column.

Right-click

Right click a cell to Add Filter / Copy / Paste / Delete / Edit cell contents.

Edit - Schema  (launch Schema dialog)

Ctrl-C

Copy selected records to clipboard.

Ctrl-V

Paste records from clipboard.

Shift-Ctrl-V

Paste using the Paste dialog for more options.   To avoid paste errors when pasting objects in drawings, set the mfd_id field to Ignore Field in the paste dialog when pasting objects.  That allows the destination table to automatically generate mfd_id values that avoid collisions with existing mfd_id values in the table.

Launch a quick reference guide page in the browser.

Shift-F5

Refresh table.

 

Edit

*

Click into the * row to begin adding a new record.

Delete

Delete selected records.

Click row handle

Designate row as context row requiring a Ctrl-Enter to commit any edits.

Double-click

Open the cell for editing.

F2

Open the context cell for editing.

Enter

Open / Close the current cell for editing.

Ctrl-Enter

Commit all edits to the current record.

 

Selection

 Ctrl-A

Select all.

Shift-Ctrl-A

Select none.

Ctrl-I

Invert the selection.

Ctrl-A then Ctrl-I

Select none.  A useful trick.

Ctrl-click

Select or de-select the record.

Ctrl-<spacebar>

Select or de-select the current record.

Shift-Ctrl-click

Immediately after ctrl-clicking a record to select or de-select  it, Shift-Ctrl-clicking on another record will select or de-select all records in a swath to the previously selected record.

Ctrl-F2

Copy contents of the selected, context cell to all selected records.
